Maximum City

Hello Readers,

I finished maximum city by Suketu Mehta, The book is basically all about MUMBAI.

A stupendous book of the city of people ho never sleeps. I felt it very good as I am miles apart from my city and the book reminds me every bit of the soil of mumbai.

He has put 8 years of research going to the slums of Jogeshwari and dharavi to going to the Dance bars and talking with underworld people its just amazing.

I used to go to the local hotel at night 2 o'clock and had fun having Dal fry and jeera rice or Pav Bhaji, Vada paav at station at night 3-4 a.m. I really miss it a lot.

This reminds an incident that took place 10 years back, we a group of friends were at my friend's flat as it was vacant and we wen to the Hotel as usual about 3 o'clock and while returning back we were stopped by a couple of cops in the middle of the road. He made we 7 guys stand on the divider and asking for the name and where abouts of us. They did not found anything wrong as we had not consume alcohol. Then they ask us to go to the home immediately with a constable and also instructed the constable to search the house. The constable did not utter a single word on the way back to the house. We gave him some food to eat and when he as about to left he told us to come with him for the other formalities. We left with him.

When we reached that place we found two man lying on the road with lots and lots of blood on the road the police told us they had shot 2 gangsters. but hang on when we passed by them I had a look over a man and yes I remembered him standing with the Police during our first interaction with the cops...Oh...my god was this the fake encounter...

We did not spoke a word about the incident to anyone for the fear of cops and we were just school going kids at that time..

Rest is going good as Diwali time is coming nearer.

I need a break desperately.

Indecisive in nature...what is that??

Hello Readers,

I hereby confess that I am very indecisive in nature, I never make mind focus in to one thing and that is why I have got in to trouble sometime, I want to do everything and do not want to leave even a minor part of what I like or I wish to do.

The funny part is that when I had a crush in my college time I was thinking for a year whether it is a crush or is it Love!!! and when I concluded that It is Love and expressed my self to her I got the following reply. This is exactly what I have said though I was the most shy person in the college

HE: "Hi Miss A. You know what.. I think I like you very much...
She: " Oh..is it..since when.."
Me being generous..
He: " From last year and half"
She: " Then why did not you told me in the beginning"
He: "I was just thinking whether it is crush or Love"
She: " It took one and a half year for you to decide..?"
He: " Yes..but now I am sure"
she: " Look Mr. Blogboy I know you are a very nice person, very shy, Topper of the college but I can not marry outside my caste and I am already having a boyfriend, but we can be friends"
He: " Oh..ok..I think I took more time.Never mind..and yes we can be friends"
She: "Do not misunderstand me please"
He: " No no Its really OK.."

After talking for more half an hour she left and I was in Barista for another 2 hour or so all alone and thinking now what.. Will I be able to love some one again in my life.......
So many unanswered questions in mind and I was trying to get answers from Barista's coffee cup....

After that incident the whole college came to know and at the last year's farewell party I was sitting at the back as usual and doing some mischief and suddenly my name was announced for some game on the stage. I went because there were around 200 people including Professors. Then there was an announcement of that girl Miss A. she too came on the stage and the game was something called ask questions and act..I can not remember the whole thing but it was similar to dare and truth.

They told me to propose Miss A in front of all.

I was scared at first and then I proposed her saying "I hope this time I am not late..I love you A"

As of now I do not know exactly where is she..I talked to her over the phone six months back..

I still wear my watch on my right hand as she was wearing on her right hand. (This is the secret I have never told any one asking me why I am wearing watch on my right hand ) just to remember her.

All is fine...

Industry is going no where...

Hello Readers,

India has 65 % population below the age of 35. So many people are working in IT and ITES (IT enabled services like BPOs) they are happy as they are getting enough money one young person needs for spending but had they ever think where the industry is going in India.

You must have heard Quarter 2 results of Big Indian IT companies, all are flying high, stocks are shooting up like never before. Companies are recruiting a lot of people and people think India is shining.

Let us face the reality of Indian IT industry, which is a service based industry.
A service which we offer with a low cost and has no innovative things to do.
People are getting frustrated and hopping jobs only to find the same thing after a certain time.
Has anyone asked which innovative thing in IT, India has produced?
We are only good at doing service not to build a brand or to entrepreneur an industry.
India's almost all IT companies are service based which depends on a certain clients.
We are supposed to do what they tell us to do, In most of the IT companies people do not have to put their own brains but to follow orders and ha....If you are bold enough to apply your brain then you have to be ready for facing the consequences.

IT managers are those who do the execution reporting with a glorious name as "IT manager"
I have never seen an IT Manager doing strategic decisions for the organisation. What he/ She does is reporting the higher management about the productivity, who are there sitting abroad and 95% of them are foreigners.

Indian IT Managers even do not know things like...

1. Why the Bonus is too low this time.
2. Why the Hike is not yet came.
3. Why certain facilities has been withdrawn.
4. Why the company is acquiring a certain company and what will be the strategic importance in acquiring a company.
5. Why higher management are making changes in the hierarchy of reporting structure.
6. What is the significance of a particular process to the organisation and how it adds value to customers.


I feel pity on Indian IT managers, Why can not we come up with our own solutions and stop depending on foreign market. Still our mentality is like a slave and our business depends on how good we service to our customers.

We are producing a lot of IIM graduates but we failed to invent our own business model to grow a true independent INDIA!!!!!!

Hide and Seek wih Boss!!!!

Hello Readers,

Last week my Friend Kamlesh went to his native without informing his BOSS and taking 2 days sick leave, He reached home and told his Boss that he is sick and could not come for 2 days.
Boss said OK. After that his Boss called him twice also on saturdays and sundays and asking him if he needs anything and can he come to see him at his place, but he did not knew that Kamlesh is in his Hometown.hehehehe...

After that his boss called him and asked if he could come to see, Kamlesh replied "Sure sir but as of now I am moving to Doctor's clinic to do some tests and you can surely come with fruits and Bouquet to my place in the evening" :) and at that moment only he switched off the mobile [:)].

Now When he reappeared in the office his boss did not come to ask him about his health but this guy went and asked his boss" Sir, Tell me why you did not come now to ask about my health, last few days your were so much concerned and showing affection on me"

His Boss replied " I just wanted to check whether you went to your home town without informing me? ", This guy replied " Oh..is it? I want to go to Toilet can I go right now?" ( after hearing this incident I was laughing like anything..) his boss understood the whole episode and not talking to him from last week.

The moral of this incident is never tell lie to your boss and if you are telling make it a truth by repeatedly saying it.

Life is going Crazy.....

Hello Readers,

I am back to work and things are not going well as expected, I am 50 percent through with the shopping and other arrangements for my wedding. still my leaves have not yet approved. I am waiting for that.

Last trip was good though we did not met much but we spent quality time. I will be going now only in Diwali, I love to be with my family during diwali times as it is the only occasion we all celebrate with family and friends. There are some issues going on between me and my manager as well as my lead.

Let me see how best I can do to rduc differences between us otherwise only on option left and that is " TO QUIT"
Though this is a very good company, management is pathetic. No news as of now for Bonus as well as Hikes.

Rest is going fine, marriage days are coming nearer....
